Open Innovation Day – Challenges and Opportunities in insurance

On the 13^th February starts  “The 1^st Winning Competition – The Business Case Challenge” !

This event was developed in partnership with Move (volunteer association) and the Business Case Institute, which goal is to teach and prepare students on how to make the right investment decisions.

The Business Case Challenge will take two rounds where the students from 5 universities (Nova SBE, Católica-Lisbon SBE, IST, ISEG e ISCTE-IUL) will challenge their knowledge. In this challenge any student may participate where each team will be composed by 4 elements.

The first round will take place on the 13^th February, with the students participation in a workshop which includes a case study and a presentation by all the groups. At the end of this round, the judges will elect the group winner from each university that will dispute the Grand Final.

The second round (grand final) of the competition, will take place on the 30^th April in Catholic University and the 5 finalists team of the 1^st round (1 group per university) will be challenged to develop and present a Business Case end-to-end. The judges will evaluate who will be the WINNER TEAM of this competition. The winner groups of the first round will win the Business Case Foundation, offered by Winning valued on 1000€ per participant.

The prize for the WINNER TEAM will be a Professional Internship in Winning (9months period). Besides, all the participants will get a training certification of the Business Case Institute.

The application should be done by each team group by sending each group member CV and the download of the BCBOK methodology (free) at www.businesscaseinstitute.org/membership/community. The documentation shoul be sent to the bcc@businesscaseinstitute.org. The application has the amount of 40€ per group (10€ per person), which will totally be to support projects from the volunteer Association Catolica-Move with projects in several countries (S. Tomé e Princípe, Mozambique, Timor) and all the human and financial effort done by Winning and BCI will be supported under the social responsability programs of each of this entities.
