Business Case arrives in Portugal, a world reference in the scientific management of companies
Cláudia Teixeira, founder and member of the BCI Board, believes that the Business Case methodology scientifically measures decision making in order to avoid unnecessary risks in the management of companies.
At a time when the management system is placed at the center of the most recognized worldwide standard, the IS0 9001, as is the case with the importance of risk analysis, here comes the newly created England Business Case Institute (BCI) in Portugal. BCI arrives in Portugal with the launch of the Business Case Body of Knowledge, which sets the basis for professional certification in this management practice.
Having as its mission “to create value through scientific management”, BCI will certify specialists in Business Case through methodologies, good practices and tools essential to the professional development of managers and middle and senior managers of companies “, reveals Cláudia Teixeira , Founder and member of the BCI Board.
But what, after all, is the Business Case? “It is a management practice that allows to quantify reliably the benefits of any business decision on investments,” says Cláudia Teixeira. “Whether changing the layout of a store chain has a positive impact on sales; If we invest in certain software to improve process efficiency and develop a new product or service “are examples given by the founder of BCI who believes that” the decisions of the daily management of companies can be better structured and better and quantified thanks to the Business Case “. He points out that “the result will be evident because management will become more efficient and will be based on scientifically based and therefore more rational assumptions as opposed to the current decision-making method based on empirical models and the dangerous tentative model -error”.
Cláudia Teixeira also points out that “in these days, the level of criticality of management decisions is such that managers need tools that help them to manage with predictability and less risk” and “Business Case is an agnostic tool, appropriate to All professionals and all types of companies from all sectors of activity, from heavy industry to consulting, “concludes.
